IPSUM Gallery is located in a newly renovated mechanical barn at Sunfair, a 70-acre property in Hudson, New York, devoted to exploring the role of the arts in shaping daily life. IPSUM curates exhibitions, dialogues, and events that examine how creativity informs, challenges, and reimagines our shared reality. Rooted in the belief that art is not only reflective but generative, the gallery stays responsive to the present moment, affirming art’s potential as a catalyst for cultural and social inquiry.
CURRENT EXHIBITION

Everything Is Waiting For You
August 9th - October 9th, 2025
.
Everything Is Waiting For You engages the everyday—the grounded familiar forms that quietly shape our lives. Titled after David Whyte’s poem, this show invites a shift in perspective: to see these often overlooked elements not merely as functional or fixed, but as artful—alive with potential.
You must note
the way the soap dish enables you,
or the window latch grants you freedom.
By noticing, we begin to belong more deeply to the world. In this way, the mundane becomes a threshold further into being. Each artist brings this notion into form, offering new ways to see and feel the ordinary.

APPARATUS

IPSUM Gallery presents a collection of handcrafted eating tools by Curtis Lafollette. With a deep respect for form, function, and material, Lafollette transforms metal into spoons, forks, and knives that feel both ancient and modern. Each piece reflects a meticulous process of forging, shaping, and finishing—turning everyday objects into sculptural works of art. More than tools, these are intimate expressions of craftsmanship that invite us to reconsider the beauty in the rituals of eating.
