Anya Ulinich turns our attention to post-consumer trash through the 16th-century French relief pottery style of Palissy. To tell her stories, she often uses rats and debris rendered in glossy glaze. A departure from her bright palettes, these handmade ceramic cigarettes are a piece of that crowded, tactile world, an intimate fragment of her sculptural reliefs.
