Secret Language of Flowers

In 2012, French artist Jean-Michel Othoniel (b. 1964) attended the residency at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Here he intended to catalogue the hidden floral symbolism through the collection and in turn traced flowers from tapestries, ironwork, architecture, furnishings and masterpiece paintings.
